In the middle of the COVID-19 outbreak, people celebrate Christmas
In the middle of the COVID-19 epidemic, how does one enjoy Christmas this year? This is most likely the first time in modern history that we are encouraged to celebrate the season of Christmas in its purest form, in its simplicity.
Amid all of this, we've been
thinking about how to enjoy Christmas this year with just family members who
live in the same place. We're thinking about wearing masks, keeping social
distance in check, and washing our hands often. For our mutual security and
safety, we are being prevented from seeing one another. This year, we won't be
able to enjoy the typical Christmas cheer and merrymaking.
COVID, on the other hand, should
not detract from our Christmas celebrations! This season, let us share more
hope, peace, joy, and love!
This is where I am reminded of our Savior's birth. Simply said, it's a Christmas tale. Only his mother and father were present when our Lord and Savior was born in a manger. A shepherd, a few animals, and the three magi were among his visitors. It serves as a heartfelt reminder of the genuine meaning of the holiday season. We've all had a rough year this year, but we're still holding on to hope. God is with us, has always been with us, and will always be with us, despite all the chaos and dread that the epidemic has brought. The world's light is Jesus!
May our hearts continue to be open to the infant Jesus, our lives continue to reflect Christ's presence, and our homes continue to be a beacon of God's peace. We will all be able to get through this crisis together if we have a lot of faith, hope, and love.
